BBC Future has compiled 40 intriguing predictions⁽¹⁾ made by scientists, politicians, journalists, bloggers and other assorted pundits in recent years about the shape of the world from 2013 to 2150.

Tomorrow’s World was a long-running BBC television series, showcasing new developments in the world of science and technology. First aired on 7 July 1965 on BBC, it ran for 38 years until it was cancelled at the beginning of 2003.
